国家大剧院 NPAC (clever name, ay?)

National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing was todays adventure...

WOW, a functional space ship, amazing!

They call this building the Giant Egg. It is made of a titanium and glass. It houses a 5600 seat theater, school and offices, cafes, shops and such. It is so vast that each hallway is color coded. It sits on a "lake" which reflects the building. Part of the building is underground and the ceiling is glass, which the "lake" covers , which makes cool a cool ripple effect. It took 7 years to complete and was designed by French Architect Paul Andreu.

Hope to return Saturday for a traditional folk play performance.
