A lovely weekend in the most picture perfect Cotswolds. Foggy mornings, warm sunny afternoons and the peek spring bloom weekend! (seems we were very close and setting up BBC SpringWatch )
The Cotswolds is part the beautiful English contryside where most of the town names end in "shire", comically: Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Rolling hills and pastures with random white sheep and very happy cows.
Most of the local architecture is built of yellow oolitic Jurassic limestone, charming! Beautifully maintained picturesque villages...lots of white folks!
The focus of the weekend was ceramics and pot making but that was peppered with delicious food , good conversations, relaxation and a few amazing bicycle rides. Hosts Jonathan and Gabrielle were so generous and welcoming. We stayed here.
We finished 8 plates and were able to have Monday breakfast on them which was very cool. We made various other pots and bowls which we will have to fire on our next visit!
